Job Details

Responsible for the design, development, support and management of the firm’s accounting and business intake databases and related applications. Responsible for report writing for the Firm’s intranet and the automated data exchange among accounting and business intake databases and other databases throughout the Firm. Provides supervision to the Financial Systems Applications Developer. Responsible for accounting and business intake system project management, in collaboration with the IT Department.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree and/or advanced technical training preferred.

Experience: Equivalent experience preferably in a law firm.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Strong leadership, supervisory and team building sills.

Thorough back-end and solid front-end Aderant Expert knowledge with programming and other functional abilities.

Knowledge of and experience with most or all of the following: Microsoft SQL Server 2012/2010/2008R2, SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Integration Services, Powershell, Microsoft Visual Studio, and other tools selected by the firm for similar purposes. Able and willing to learn new programming languages and applications.

Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office SharePoint.

Able to independently create, modify and trouble-shoot database processes and reports.

Project management and project leadership skill to effectively organize and move projects forward on time.

Current knowledge of technology developments relevant to law firm operation. Must possess a clear understanding of law firm practice and operations and end-user needs, with emphasis on accounting and new business practices.

Able to manage multiple priorities, follow through on requests, set priorities, and manage time to ensure work is timely and efficiently completed. Able to assume new tasks and responsibilities, and to maintain and update knowledge and skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Able to establish and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with end-users, peers, management, and outside business partners.
